50 Shades of Wedding

So today marks 50 days until #HappilyEverAnderson. Fifty! 5-0. What? I feel like we just got engaged…

Well, not really. We’re in full planning mode at the almost-Anderson house. Just for fun, I thought I’d compile a list of all things wedding to celebrate 50 days until we get married! This list is random, so get ready.

1. We’re getting married Oct 31. It’s not a themed wedding. <– what I say to every single person who asks. I will be the only one wearing a costume. The end.
2. Pumpkins > flowers for table decorations.
3. Cupcakes > cake for dessert.
4. My shoes are blue! My ‘something blue.’
5. We booked a special program for during the Cocktail Hour. ZOMG so excited.
6. We’ve opted to do a First Look for photos and I’m so excited about it!
7. My hair and make-up trial is NEXT WEEK.
8. We’re taking a short ‘mini-moon’ following our wedding, saving the full Florida Keys honeymoon for our winter break (we get several days off work in Dec/Jan).
9. One of this week’s wedding tasks is to buy stamp ink for our guest book. It’s super special!
10. One of next week’s tasks is to choose fun photos of Johnny & me for decoration.
11. Yes, I have weekly tasks until the big day. I like planning, k?
12. My least favorite part of wedding planning? WAITING for replies. It’s so hard.
13. Johnny’s former pastor who is now a nurse is marrying us! I just sent him my version of our love story. I hope he has popcorn!
14. I’ve had my dress since March. I brought it home because it fit like a glove. Pretty pumped about not having to schedule fittings!
15. My last name is changing! I’m going to be Aundra Anderson.

16. I’ve basically exclusively used my “Bride” tervis cup since December and I kinda don’t want to give it up. #BrideForever

17. I’m in love with our custom stamp from Stampanda. Love, love, love.

20. One of my ‘must-haves’ is a table full of homemade cookies. #CookieMonster
21.I’m walking down the aisle to a super special song. No one (except the musician) knows the tune. Unless he told someone…
22. Our colors are dark blue and orange. Super fun for a special day!
23. Johnny built custom signs for the event. I’m doing the lettering for them.
24. We made DIY save the dates that were fun and very special to us.
25. I’m traveling for work for 2 weeks before our wedding. nbd.
26. Our ceremony is taking place in the Colonial Revival Garden of an historic building.
27.Another must-have for our wedding? Ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in one location. Done.
28. I have a super long aisle to walk down to get to Johnny. It’s dramatic and I love it.

29. We’re having a daytime wedding that includes brunch as the meal. Brunch! I’m pumped.

I didn’t expect to be as excited about wedding planning as I have been…parts of this experience are incomparable to anything and I’m so glad to be getting married!
