Coffee Talk Tuesday #73
Grab your cup! It’s Wednesday but we’re treating it like a Coffee Talk Tuesday. Why not?
The first cup of coffee this morning was enjoyed at home, thanks to a 2-hour delay at the schools. Delays are cool. It’s also icy out there!
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’m starting to get in the flow of my new routine (even though today was a delay…). I love having a gap in the middle of the afternoon to get things done after school and before teaching fitness classes. Also, my school schedule allows me to have Fridays off, which is super cool and lets me attend my beloved Buti classes, while also working on other fun projects. I’ve recently started working for a gym in town, and enjoy learning and putting my skills to good use!
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I was (don’t hate) a little underwhelmed at the This is Us episode that followed the Super Bowl. There was a lot of build up for this episode, and of course all the emotions hit, but it wasn’t as crazy a story line as I anticipated. Don’t get me wrong, I love this show and the writing and the acting, but I guess I expected more of this episode! I’m curious to see where we’ll go from here, now that we know the BIG secret.
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that we’ve made some great progress on the laundry/storage room! This room served as our kitchen when the real kitchen was being renovated—Johnny built an area with a sink, a countertop, and cabinets. But now, we’ve torn all of that down, and he replaced that area with two BIG storage closets. Next to the closets, we have the washer/dryer/laundry area, and Johnny added a shelf with a hanging rod (I love air drying clothes and hanging them immediately after the dryer goes off), and then this weekend he built more cabinets that match our kitchen cabinets. He also painted the room yellow and we picked out curtains to match. I love how this room is coming together! The next project is renovating the back room, which is currently unusable.
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’m loving hosting a Virtual HIIT group. It’s a 6-week group and I’ve been designing fun workouts for everyone—three new workouts each week. My wheels are turning at future virtual class opportunities, and maybe even having a place to store these videos for future classes or individual workouts.
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’m also really looking forward to hosting a Valentine’s Day class — a partner insanity/HIIT workout! It’s going to be awesome, I had so much fun dreaming up all the different moves. Even if you don’t have a buddy to bring to class, I want people to come anyway! We’ll pair up and just have fun. All levels welcome!
That’s all for now…I hope you’re having a great week.
