Coffee Talk Tuesday #97
Let’s do this! Grab a cup and join me for a Coffee Talk Tuesday moment.
I missed you last week! My web hosting site had some major technical issues and my site was actually down for a few days. I’ve been debating switching hosts for awhile, and this was the last straw that lit a fire underneath me. It’s funny – I create beautiful things and spend time with meticulous details for my clients, but haven’t done a big overhaul or update to my own site in a long time. It’s time! Stay tuned for some changes.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that husband and I had a delightful trip to Rehoboth this weekend. I love our beach time! We try to take at least one beach trip together each summer. Our favorite things to do: get to the beach early to soak up some sun, read, enjoy the sounds, and then leave when it gets full to fill our bellies at Nicoli’s Pizza. Then, we usually take a nap (adult naps are literally the best thing ever), and then spend some time walking the boards in the late afternoon. We always choose a new place for a cozy dinner. This year, we went to La Fable for some French dining – oh my, SO good. I highly recommend this perfect date location. We shared a cheese plate, and I enjoyed the Beef Bourguignon while husband had the steak-frites. We love to travel and we love to enjoy delicious food. On my own, I ventured out early both mornings to enjoy the beach sunrise and bring back coffee from The Coffee Mill – so delicious. And, of course, I loved being able to enjoy an acai bowl each morning! So much fun.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that we end each trip with another trip planned — we’re heading to Orlando in October! I’ve never been to Disney and I’m super excited to enjoy the magic. We booked another trip, too – a cruise to Cuba! I love our travels and can’t wait to explore these new-to-me places with my favorite person.
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m finalizing my barre certification this week, and can’t wait to hold the certificate in my hands. I love this format and am so excited to add it to my teaching repertoire. I won’t have it on the regular fall schedule just yet, but look forward to some pop-up classes, maybe some substitute opportunities, and some private group classes. This has been an exciting summer for fitness!
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that we’re looking for YOU! My company is hosting a local training for volunteers to speak to 8th and 9th grade students. Qualifications: be excited about opportunities, be willing to share your story and experience, be able to lead 3 sessions in the classroom – that could be a half day! I’d love to see you there. The training is free, I will be there, and so will snacks. When you come into the classroom, I will be there, too! It’s such a fun experience to talk about future opportunities with middle and high school students. They get SO much out of it! More details here. If you have questions, let me know!
If we were having coffee together this week, I’d tell you that I’m getting ready for a super fun weekend – leading an explore orientation program for 12 new college students. We’re going SUP yoga-ing, u-picking at a farm, zip lining, plogging, kayaking, sound bath meditation-ing, and more. This is an introduction to health and wellness in the area, and a great way for these students to kick-start their first year of college. Wish me luck driving the giant passenger van (maybe wish them luck).
It’s a busy week full of adventures, so I’m off to the next thing! Have a great Tuesday and a lovely end of the week. Maybe I’ll see you in classes!
