Choosing Bridesmaid Dresses
Another wedding adventure update!
We found the bridesmaid dresses and the bridesmaid shoes. Done and done.
Just like we did with my wedding dress, we headed back to the same David’s Bridal location to check out bridesmaid dresses. In advance, I chose the color “Marine” and decided on a shorter dress style.
We got the same consultant who helped me pick a dress, which was great. Right away, we searched the shorter dress aisles and both Angela and Natalie picked a variety of dresses to try. Since I only have two bridesmaids, I decided that I wanted them to match, so it was important that the style work for both of them.
I loved being on this side of the dress shopping experience – I got to hold a clipboard and this bridal look book, marking the ones we liked and didn’t like as they tried on the dresses.
Just like my wedding dress experience, we narrowed it down to two dresses that I liked. To help make the choice, both ladies tried on shoes so we could see the full outfit. In the end, I liked the classy look of the one I ended up choosing.
Naturally, I took zero pictures of our experience, so here are the dress photos from the website.
I loved the way this looks on both of my ladies – it’s flattering, classy, and appropriate for a late-October wedding. The color is great on both of them, too.
The lace all over the dress is lovely, and the neckline is beautiful from the front and the back.
We’re adding a marine-colored ribbon to tie around the waist into a bow in the back as well. It really completes the look. The lace detail has some black in it, too, so we went with black shoes.
These are great because of the ornament detail on the front – it matches my shoes (which I realize I have yet to share, those are in a forthcoming wedding post!).
Another wedding item to scratch off the checklist. 169 days to go!
Oh my goodness I LOOOOVE this dress!!! They will be able to wear this to any nice occasion, it is so pretty. Great taste!
Thank you!!! I think they are lovely too 🙂
gotta say…I think the dress was way more flattering on us than on these models…yeeesh!
My dress is the same way! We look happy. ha.
