Coffee Talk #178: Instructor Fun Facts
Hey all you cool cats & kittens – it’s Tuesday! Grab your cup and let’s start chattin’.
If we were having coffee together today, I’d tell you that I’ve been thinking A LOT about fitness and my fitness business. The shift in opportunities has been amazing and I feel like I’m rolling with it each day. I’ve learned a LOT about myself as an instructor in these past few weeks and my mind is just BLOWN with all of the positive responses!
It really hit me when I noticed that my zoom live classes had people register from outside our area — like people who can’t normally come because they live far away. I’m seriously tingly with excitement about all of these new possibilities.
I thought it would be fun to share a list of instructor fun facts. I love lists, and I’m brainstorming all of these things now for my NEW WEBSITE (I finally pushed myself and said I need to spend time working on it).
10 FWA Instructor Fun Facts
- I have been teaching group fitness classes since 2009.
- I currently hold 13 certifications, and working on Yoga Teacher Training this year.
- My favorite class to teach at-home is Barre.
- My favorite workout style is HIIT.
- My favorite style class to teach overall is Buti – but I’m finding it harder to teach at home – I need the energy and fire of my crew!
- In addition to program/style certifications, I hold an AFAA Group Fitness Certification.
- I love it when clients suggest songs and share feedback about classes!
- My favorite fitness move is a tie between goddess squats and a burpee.
- One style of fitness I don’t like? Spinning. Not my jam!
- My next fitness certification? If all goes as planned (like the world doesn’t end), I’m heading to the World Barre Fitness Summit in October. I know – more barre? Yes! I’m committed to learning different styles and taking workshops to level up my offerings.
