Today, let’s chat about Reasons to Join a Fitness Challenge. I absolutely LOVE fitness challenges for several (6) reasons. A Fitness Challenge is one of the reasons I started taking Zumba classes (check the video to hear that story). Here we go:

6 Reasons to Try a Fitness Challenge

1. Jump start. Did you have a summer of fun and now you’re ready for a routine? Did you get bored with your previous workout routine and you want something else? Fitness challenges are a GREAT way to jump start the next chapter.

2. Accountability. When you’re part of a group, a community, it’s hard to hide. That’s a good thing! If you commit to something like a fitness challenge, don’t you want to follow through with it? Groups and challenges give you accountability. There’s nothing like seeing people post “DONE” at 5 a.m. to get your hiney in gear (especially when they tag YOU in the post).

3. Associate. Surround yourself with people you want to be like. People who sign up for fitness challenges are usually pretty awesome folks. They want GOOD things for themselves and they want to cheer YOU on. What could be better? We become the sum of the 5 people we spend the most time with — who do you want to be?

4. Change. If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you. If you’re looking for a change in behavior, routine, outlook – look no further than a fitness challenge. It’ll change you. In a good way.

5. Inspiration. Find new ways to move your body. Getting bored with your usual moves? Challenges are usually run by fitness gurus who are ready to share their fun moves and knowledge with you. Find exciting new ways to move your body!

6. Prepare for the unknown. Ok, the corny one for last. When you try something new like a fitness challenge, you’re not only changing your body, but your outlook and mind, too. You’re making new connections in your brain that will bring you to a higher self. You’ll be ready for ANYthing, even those things you can’t yet imagine.
