Fitness Hangover

Each Sunday, I spend some time gearing up for the coming week. Last week was a little nuts, and this week I’m throwing travel to Baltimore for work plus an important orthodontist appointment to get braces into the mix. Part of my prep for the week includes packing my fitness bag for teaching various classes and planning prep time for going over new choreography.

In addition to a full-time job in admissions at Washington College, I teach three different fitness class formats: Zumba, Turbo Kick, and PiYo Strength.  As of last week, I started teaching 7 classes a week, three of which are on Wednesday. I also run three times a week, and am in the middle of training to run my second half marathon this month. It’s a little much.

Yesterday, I taught three fitness classes in one day (on top of a 9-hour work day).

Going forward,  I will continue to teach all three (I’ve made the commitment now!), but I’m in conversations with a friend to take at least one of the classes from me. Our styles are similar, and I think any of my classes will love her.
