Gone Birding

I’m always on the lookout for ways to expand my knowledge of the world, not just through books and attending classes. I have a very kinesthetic, “learn by doing” learning style. I can read about something until I’m blue in the face, but I don’t grasp the concepts until I attempt to do them myself.

Like bees, birds are magical creatures. I’ve always been curious about the behaviors and habits of birds,  and recently had the opportunity to put that to action!

I spotted this one – a bard owl. Others said they heard it, and Shane caught a glimpse of the wing tips as the owl flew away.

We saw tons of Indigo Buntings. Aren’t they beautiful?

There were bright blue flashes all over the place, some pretty close to the ground. A couple of them were chasing each other.

I’m interested in observing the world around me.
