Two Years!
Happy Two Years of Blogging to Fit for Life!
Wow, has it already been two years? I started this little blog in 2010 with the intent to chronicle some of the exciting changes at the little house on Pine, and positive changes in my overall health and wellness.
For the house, we spent 2010 focusing on the backyard as a homestead, and creating a sustainable permaculture environment.
We’ve come so far since then:
– creating a bog garden
– planting a berry forest (raspberries, chokeberries, blueberries, blackberries, and grapes)
– building a deck (plans for one this year!)
– planting 17 fruit trees (this really needs a post all to itself)
– keeping bees
– building 4 garden boxes
– composting
– adding a back shed
– transforming the back porch/screening it in
– minimizing the amount of plain grass/mow space
And I can’t even imagine where the next two years will take us. (On a side/related note, this year we’ll celebrate five years at the little house on Pine!!)
For my health/wellness (which is 100% related to all the homestead projects, too), I’ve come so far in just a few years:
– started running, trained for a half marathon, planning 7 races in the spring of 2012
– started Zumba, became an instructor, now teach 5+ classes a week
– questioned my food sources, became a vegetarian, realized the need for meat, and switched to all-local meat
– became part of my community by joining a CSA, shopping at local places (like the Farmer’s Market)
– challenged myself physically and mentally by completing training to teach PiYo (Pilates/Yoga)
– started my journey toward a better smile with orthodontics
I’m so thrilled with the progress and changes this blog has helped me make in the past couple of years. And I can’t thank you enough for being part of it. Here’s to a happy journey, with more to come!
Allow me, together with my team from cosmetic dentists sydney, to congratulate you on your 2 years of insightful blogging. The way your writing touches a great area of the dental practice is truly worth following. Cheers!
I hope your orthodontic journey ended with that bright smile! Mine did, thanks to the orthodontic Perth team who helped me out.
