The guest post I wrote in exchange was something different for me, too — a book review post. I’ve dabbled in book review a little in the past, but this one was even more fun, and I think I’d love to explore the possibility of writing book reviews for the blog every so often.
I can’t wait to explore more guest posting opportunities. Hit me up if you want to swap ideas!
Other random things from the Blogathon:
– LOVED creating a Google calendar for posts. I allowed myself some flexibility with topics, but it was great to have the month organized in my head before blogging. Seriously, if you’re looking to increase your posts on a blog, or looking to venture into new topics, a blog content calendar is the way to go. I’m even using content calendars for work-related things, too. It’s super helpful.
– Number of drafts made: 15. TONS of great ideas bouncing around here. There’s so much I want to write about, to learn about, and to share.
– I like to procrastinate. For the first week or so, I would cram blogging into the last hour of the day, desperately writing and publishing my posts minutes before midnight. Toward the end, I had a number of drafts to choose from, and found myself blogging earlier in the day.
– I loved discovering new-to-me blogs on twitter, with the aid of #blog2012. I even met someone who is familiar with my town (shout-out to The Eco Niche)!
– I truly love to write. And take photos. And twirl inside my town’s fountain.
– I like being able to look back at certain days to see my journey through May. Blogging each day has helped me with that.
Moving forward, I think I’ll do my best to continue blogging each day. I like the discipline of it, plus it’s a great reason to go on more adventures. Right?
See you on the other side of May!
